I am posting this message to avoid further aggravation of the ongoing exchange of opinions of students from Niner and Speakwell.
I was uninformed of the discussions going on in this forum until my student called me up this morning asking for an apology. She admitted that she was posting a couple of messages in this website using my name. She further admitted using another person’s name to serve as a testimonial to our review center. Unfortunately, she was uninformed that the IP will appear even if she changed her username from my name to that of another person’s name. She told me that she was only doing such to help advertise Niner review center. Little did she know that this act would result in unwarranted consequences. All of a sudden, people were lambasting and bashing me for claiming that my review center is better than that of speakwell.
This is surprising since in the first place, niner is known not because of its advertising and marketing efforts but because of word of mouth, which is its only marketing tool. Ask any of my students and they know that very well. Perhaps, if you noticed, we do not have any website. We do not advertise in the newspaper and over the radio. We do not distribute leaflets in hospitals and in other places where we are sure to get some prospect clients. We humbly stay in our office doing the best that we could to make our reviewees pass the IELTS. As a result, they do the marketing for us without being paid. Because of word of mouth, the number of our reviewees increases day by day. Thanks to our satisfied reviewees! This student of mine who used my name is just one of our hundreds of satisfied reviewees who are advertising Niner as their way of saying thank you for the comprehensive and up-to-date review that they had with our center. It is not surprising to me anymore that she was able to place the review details here since we provide each of our students with all that they need to know about Niner. We even send these informative tools to their e-mail addresses. Perhaps, this is where my student got all the information from when she decided to advertise about our review center using my name.
As a communication scholar from the University of the Philippines Diliman, I am entirely aware of the problem faced by scholars like me in our further research with online communication problems. One of which is the difficulty of verification of the identity of chatters and online users since it is easy for them to use someone else’s name and claim the identity of another person. It is also easy to put up a fight with others since they still feel physically secured because this online warfare does not entail physical contact in the first place. Chatters are aggressive especially when their identities are withheld and are unknown. This problem is not isolated to any online group and this forum is not spared of this communication dilemma. In this case, I was the victim, that of an innocent agendum.
I am posting this message for the following reasons: 1) to clarify matters of fallacious information; 2) to put an end to this discussion; 3) to protect my integrity; and 4) to ask for an apology to those who were affected.
To Speakwell and other review centers, please accept my apology for whatever emotional and psychological consequences this thread has brought you. Allow me to congratulate you for your passion and sincerity in helping our countrymen in passing the IELTS. I do not treat you as my competitors. In fact, I treat you as benevolent and altruistic people with noble intentions. May you continue to help more Filipinos in passing the IELTS and other English proficiency examinations. Congratulations! I say Kudos to you!
To Speakwell reviewees, it is but right to thank your review center, Speakwell, for helping you pass the IELTS! Speakwell and its constituents must be very happy to know that their reviewees are satisfied with the service of their review center. I am glad that after passing the IELTS, you are now one step closer to your dreams. I sincerely wish you the best of luck!
To my reviewees at Niner, I feel glad for your overwhelming support. Allow me to thank you for trusting in me and for your continued patronage. I have but one wish. You may continue to promote our review center but not at the expense of truth! Make sure that when you promote Niner, you do not engage in petty quarrels that will result in something unwanted, something like this. Let the people be the judge of what they think about our review at Niner. Do not feel sad if others are trying to lambaste you for no reason at all. I want you my dear students to take note of this, only those who experienced the review of Niner can speak up about our review since it is them who got to undergo with our review on a first hand basis. Remember, we do not compete with others. In fact, we should feel happy that many Filipinos are getting somewhere near to what they have been waiting for these past few years.
To all other nurses who are visiting this forum, may you continue to achieve the purpose of using this forum. Let those who seek information, answers and solutions to their questions and problems find them here. May you even continue to broaden your network of contacts and may you find people in this forum who can help you out in your career. Just a friendly reminder, please use this forum wisely. If your purpose in using this forum is not met, may you find it elsewhere and do not inflict harm to innocent parties and individuals.
Expect this to be my first and last post here. As mentioned previously, I do not depend on any other marketing tool but through word of mouth.
Any further post under my name will not be acknowledged by Niner review center.
Let us not bash one another. We are all Filipinos with dignified intentions of providing our family members the kind of life they dream of having. In fact, let us help one another in reaching these goals. Niner, Speakwell and other review centers that specialize in the IELTS will always be here to extend our helping hands to those who need them the most. Review centers are not enemies. Not one can instigate a fight between us especially when we continue to mind our own business.
May this be the end of this preposterous war of words. Let us not put the credibility of guiltless individuals, personalities and review centers into peril.

Anyone who would continue to make a big deal out of this petty issue is not a lover of peace.
