WRONG INFORMATION ON RETROGRESSION and CIR!
I read lots of comments on retrogression and/or CIR on this forum, some of them were negative, trying to pull down the American dreams of Filipinos or co-Filipinos that they will not come to America because of these or that…., or green card will no longer be issued to us nurses. Sometimes we are single out and discourage on our American dream. Though until now those persons did not support well the facts (news updates etc. about retrogression), because they only want us to suffer while waiting may be because of their greed, jealousy and self disappointments. Some nurses are so affected, but thank God many of us try to get the official announcement thru official websites on visa bulletin, law firms in USA etc., and keep well informed and did not affect on the wrong information about green card issue for nurses. Now that the USCIS warns of FRAUD RELATING to CIR, I hope everybody stays calm and be positive. The CIR debate is ongoing so please…please…don’t give wrong speculations on the bill. 05/31/2007: USCIS Warns of Fraud Relating to CIR
• USCIS reminds the people that the ongoing CIR process in the Senate is not a law and it takes time for a legislative bill to pass the Senate and the House. Until the Congress passes the bill and the President signs the bill, there is no law. Apparently there are some crooks and bad people out there who attempt to take advantage of the situation for the fraud scheme. It appears that they take two actions to achieve the wrongdoing. One is to scare people with the very restrictive "compromise" immigration proposal. This reporter has been receiving phone calls from the people who are scared because of some groups' reporting as though the current restrictive CIR will soon become a law. The second attempt is to entice people to seek their services or help against the allegedly upcoming "immigration hell" in this country. Some of them appeared to be shaken by the crooks' scary tactics.
• People are advised to calm down and watch the event unfold which will take at least two months or longer. The United States is a literally democratic country. Unlike most of other countries in the world, the decision making or political process is very complex and dynamic. Accordingly, the final product of the political process is unpredictable because a few in the apparent power core do not necessarily control the political process. There lies a distinctive difference between the so-called "American democracy" and the other "democracies" in most of other nations. In such time as the current crisis, immigrants should keep their faith in American democracy and let the political process work. "Do not be scared" and "do not let scam artists or other crooks take advantage of the current crisis." Whatever the end result of the Senate CIR process will be, this reporter assures the readers that it will be not as scary or bad as the rumors picture.
