that's sad... from the news they keep saying there's a surge of brain drain here in philippines and most of our local hospitals are losing there nurses... i don't understand that inspite of it, employment as a bed side nurse eludes most of us whose very eager to practice the job here. i felt that some tertiary institutions here are very discriminating with age and with the level of work experience. well, how can one gain a good background in the nursing practice if this big institutions denies employment of the newbies like the newly grads, the 2nd coursers and the returning rn's to the practice. i know some of you had this kind of problem when applying to hospitals around manila/metro manila. hay.... i hope they'll open their mind on this issue.
