Hay nako I agree totally. I applied for weeks already, tertiary hospital and even the small hospitals near our house. Wala talaga, kahit volunteers daw EH PUNO NA until DECEMBER. Can you imagine that. Napapansin ko lang, they don't need to hire staff nurses anymore because ayaw naman nila mag open so napipilitan na yung newgrads na mag apply as volunteer pero mahirap pa rin makapasok.
I was accepted already sa St. Luke's hospital last April, guess what I am from June 2006 and because of that daw Tawag na lang ako sa JUNE kasi may retake kami. I thought I will start this June na, aba when I called they said I have to reapply again. Of all the nerve talaga. Pati government hospitals ngayon may so-called OJT na, excuse to be a slave for 6 months. Kaya nga asan na yung sinabi nilang NURSING SHORTAGE HERE??!! Yung iba kahit may nursing shortage, they cannot afford to hire lang. Yung iba naman taking advantage ginagawang program yung voluntary work.
