the ff patient present to ER for treatment after blg explosion which would receive priority care?

*TRIAGE IN A DISASTER SETTING
- the patient who has a higher chance of survival should be prioritized. Save as many people as possible.

*TRIAGE IN A CLINICAL SETTING
- the patient who's in a life threatening condition should be attended to immediately

a.17 y.o with an open head injury,a glascow coma scale of 3,fixed dilated pupils, pulse rate of 140 and BP 60mm hg on palpitation - NO, GCS is already 3

b.a 32 y.o. with several facial laceration glascow coma scale of 15 - ANSWER, has the highest GCS score; wounds can be treated quickly; You can then ask the patient to watch out for another patient while you attend to other victims.

*This is one exception to delegation considering the disaster setting.

c.a 43 y.o. with severe left leg injury, controlled bleeding at the at the severance site, pulse rate 138,respirations 32 breaths/min BP 88/64 - NO, take note of the word severe. The patient will need suturing and blood transfusion. You won't have time for that.

d. an unresponsive 68 y.o. who arrived with 3rd degree burn over 95% of her body and bp 60 on palpitations.
- NO, the patient will need intensive treatment. You need to save as many people as possible.
